Garden salad, with grilled steak or grilled chicken topped with shredded cheese, grilled onions, and french fries.. Topped with your choice of dressing, of course...

At a pub I heard a guy down the bar from me order a half coke / half miller light. Now, that sounded interesting, so I asked the bar marm for a sample of that concoction.

I thought it was disgusting to say the least (although I did finish it), but she said that's what he orders every time, so someone thinks it's good.

No, no - to mix with beer, you want ginger ale or ginger beer, not coke!

My wife came up with the idea of adding canned salmon to cole slaw - it's great!

And I like to mix pesto sauce with Thai "tom yum" sauce - about 2 parts pesto to 1 part tom yum. Delicious!

Lots of these seem to mix sweet and savory.

I want to try the watermelon with cheese. We had a watermelon salad at a restaurant once that looked like tomatoes on first sight. It tasted savory, some sort of light vinagairette and was delicious!
