Dualie,

Congratulations! Well worth it!

Larry, how are you doing with your project? If you're still taking estimates, you may want to consider Premier Enclosures, Premier Aluminum | Fabricators serving Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples and the entire Southwest Florida area. | Premier Aluminum | Aluminum Fabricators serving Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral and the entire Southwest Florida area

Default we just got an estimate for enclosing an open patio

and it was a really good price - I called this morning and he came out before noon today. Here's his info- btw- we had his business card hanging up when our wind mit guy came out and he said he would recommend Rick too-said he does good work- so, check him out if you don't have someone already.

Ask about the anchors they use to hold it down to the slab. I have a nice enclosure that's only 6 years old, but the anchors are rusted through. I'm replacing them with stainless. They have to be isolated from the aluminum to prevent corrosion of dissimilar metals.

I had another lanai put on and the floor I went with a pattern stamped in the concrete. It is called stampcrete. It is also with textured appearance and any color you prefer.

Alligator Aluminum, Babby Bobay, just built our lanai last month, after three estimates and talking to all builders, we chose Alligator Aluminum. Call him, you won't be sorry......and no he is not family. We are new snow birders; and we really lucked out with this builder.

Default Screened lanai

Thanks very much to all who have posted suggestions. It looks like there's plenty of competition in this field. We'll contact the recommended contractors as we get closer to closing on our new house. Will definitely post after we choose someone, and let all know it goes.

Ken

We live in Sandoval and have a screened lanai with no pool. It was installed by Fabrictec and we are happy with it. It is true about the rusting anchor bolts and I will look into stainless. If you would like to see our lanai let me know and I'll give you the address and you can take a look.
