My area is in the "slightly above" area. Being I have 8 weeks of trips in my new rv I am having to plant the tomato plants later than what I did last year. It will be early May before planting them this year.

With lows in the 40s, we are seeing the Hydrangeas leaf out, blossoming of the Aubrieta, and green sprouting on the apple trees. Since we are supposed to get snow and 30 next week, it's still too early to plant any annuals or vegetables, but we are enjoying the lower heating bills. No need to water anything as we are still getting our usual rain.

For three days the highs will be in the upper 70's or low 80's, but then winter returns with the high in the mid 40's and the low in the mid 20's.

We had our common February thaw. Our snowpack isn't all that generous this year so I started to wonder how long it would persist. In other words, how early would I'd have to start mowing the lawn, weeding, and swatting mosquitoes?

Then our March lion roared in a week early. Forecast is calling for lows of single digits for the next few nights, highs in the teens. What snow remains ain't going anywhere soon!

40s today, 50s for the next 2 days then near 70 then falling back to the upper 50s this time of the year it starts to fluctuate which is definitely a good sign.
