Why is Baltimore-Towson MD and Washington-Arlington-Alexandria DC-VA-MD-WV on this poll? Both are not southern cities at all. If you include those two, you should include Cincinnati-Middletown OH-KY, Atlantic City-Ocean City NJ, Wilmington DE and St. Louis-St. Charles, Farmington MO-IL.

It's going by the Census designation for the South. With that in mind, Wilmington would be included if it were its own metro area but it's part of Philly's. Otherwise, OH, NJ, MO, and IL aren't Southern states.

I'm very happy where I'm at in San Antonio, TX but if I were to pick a few more it would be
1. Austin,
2. Dallas,
3. Houston,
4. Atlanta and maybe Charlotte.

8to32, it may be hard for you to believe this but some people want different things than you do. Some people like a little snow with their winter. Others like to be near mountains and lakes/water at an affordable price. Others like a robust job market.

Are you similarly aghast that others have different taste in houses, cars and entertainment than you do?

Apparently someone in Atlanta hurt your feelings and you want to blame all of us. Don't be ridiculous - most people just do not share your "elitist" criticism. There may be other reasons people don't like Atlanta, but I have never heard this one.

I am shocked you haven't, worst city in the south overall to live in. Outside of the terrible sports team the elitism makes it intolerable. Hurt feelings because someone isn't agreeing with you?

Yet it's one of the largest metros in the country so apparently your opinion isn't shared by a lot of people.
