You move into a subdivision in the Suburbs. How do your new neighbors treat you? (apartments, co-op)

I'm beginning to think you had a bad experience in the burbs, and that's why you're so off the wall with this. I've been on a lot of threads, both on P&OC and Urban Planning, and I've never seen this kind of vitriol towards the suburbs.
You don't need to quote the Bible to me, bub. I had decades of religious indoctrination/instruction. I can quote a verse on just about any topic you name.
When Galileo said the Earth revolved around the sun it was new back then and nobody believed it.
So that quote comes from the bible? I didnt know that, so no I was not trying to quote the bible but give a relevant quote to the situation.
LOL -- I didn't realize you had more than one personality!
sarcasm (ˈsɑːkæzəm) — n 1. mocking, contemptuous, or ironic language intended to convey scorn or insult 2. the use or tone of such language
I'm not exactly sure why anyone -- urban or suburban resident or otherwise, and anything in between -- would ridicule anyone else's lifestyle. It's insane.
OMG, if that wasn't so pathetically sad, it might actually be funny.
Im not trying to mock anyone, but to help them. No need to get upset because I am brining up uncomfortable subjects that nobody likes to think about.
Ignoring a problem is not going to make it go away, and will only make it get worse.
Have you ever lived in "the city"? Were the neighbors friendly there? Mine weren't.
Depends on what you mean by "the city". If you mean Dallas proper, yes, I grew up there...and the neighbors were as friendly as they are here, i.e. they are courteous but keep to themselves.

You have not brought up anything that hasn't been brought up before. You are just the most vehement I've seen in a long time. Did someone throw rocks at you in the burbs or what? I just don't get it. If we are happy in our suburbs, and have great neighbors, or at least neighbors equally as friendly as when we lived in the city as some have said, WHY DO YOU CARE ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????????????????????

No... it was not "new" back then. The Vatican dictated the terms of conventional thinking back then and decreed him wrong. But before the Vatican took over, the world was aware that the earth was round... they even knew the distance to the moon by doing their math and they did suspect/know that the earth revolved around the sun.
the expectancy of some people is that they dont wana be just treated well when they move in, they expect u to cowtow to them when they move in. sorry that is not my job. maybe at the office but not in my home. my brother yes, my daddy no.

Doesnt change the fact that most suburbanites tend to be miserable and isolated. Stuck in a boring generic house, with increasing debt, and worse job prospects. .
Is that a fact?
Or just something you tell yourself so you can feel better when you hear your upstairs neighbor tromping on your head at night and flushing his toilet?
Don't you have an appointment with the Three Billy Goats Gruff or something?
