Western Montana (meaning the western 1/3 of the state)
Eastern Montana (the eastern 2/3 of the state)
The Hi-Line (the northern portion of the state along Hwy 2 up to the Canadian border)

Someone nailed Ohio already, NW,NE,SW,SE and Central.

Growing up in NW Ohio we always referred to Michigan as

Michigan (meaning all of southern Michigan)
Northern Michigan (from roughly Bay City north)
UP or Upper Michigan

Or Yoopers and Trolls if you prefer.

South Carolina has the Upstate and the Coast. I'm not sure the middle has a name.

It looks like the upstate is actually the Piedmont.

While Georgia and NC have actual mountain zones, it looks like SC just has two basic zones.

I am actually very curious why South Carolina has changed the name of its hilly region from Upcountry to Upstate. I wonder if it has anything to do with Upstate NY?

Also South Carolina has a great name for part of its coastline. The Grand Strand. A great name for a beach resort region.

But because NY state is really big, Upstate is also has several areas of its own: The Capital Region, The North Country, The Southern Tier, The Finger Lakes, The Hudson Valley, and a few others.
Some more I can think of.

Upstate
Downstate
Western NY

Manhattan aka "The City"
New York City aka the Five Boroughs
Long Island
The East End
Lower Hudson Valley
Mid-Hudson Valley
Capital District
Mohawk Valley
The Adirondacks
The North Country
The High Peaks
Tug Hill
The Catskills
Central New York
The Finger Lakes
The Thousand Islands
The Southern Tier
The Niagara Frontier
