Or, in other words, has the best scenery? Describe it...
I haven't been many places, but here is my take given my limited traveling experience: love Capitola Village in Santa Cruz, CA--cute shops, right on the pacific coast, great pizza at Pizza My Heart, very walkable although parking can be a pain in the a**
Love Victoria in BC. The harbor is beautiful, lots of great little restaurants, and of course Murchie's tea shop and Roger's chocolates. Also, very walkable and great downtown
I guess I am a sucker for walkable downtowns, and water.
Sonora, CA downtown too (although not coastal). Hilly, light snow occassionally, trees, a cute mountain town.
Traverse City Mich., Charleston S.C., Savannah GA, St.Augustine Fl, Burlington Vt, Concord NH, Portsmouth NH , Ottowa, Ont. All of them are small cities.
For larger cities I would have Vancouver and Montreal on my list, San Francisco, parts of Boston, possibly Pittsburgh.
Any place in western North Carolina, but especially Maggie Valley. I love the mountains, the waterfalls, the creeks with the water rushing over the rocks, the cool air.
Chicago.
Hate to be repetitive, but walking along Wacker drive, and walking from Wrigley to the Loop via the Trail/Lakeshore. What an awesome eyefull!!
America's sooooo blessed with some many beautiful areas. I love the beauty here in NC.
Charlotte is one of the prettiest, cleanest, greenest large cities in the country. LOTS of trees throughout the entire city. There is a stunning 850+ acre park/nature preserve in east Charlotte we visit about once a week. It's hard to believe such a gem being in a city of 670,000 people.
ANYWHERE in western NC, especially along the Blue Ridge Pkwy.
The outer banks along the NC coast. I really love Roanoke Island. There are wild stallions that run free on there. It's really breathtaking!!
