Primary: Shingle style QueenAnne overlooking Marblehead Harbor where my double masted schooner is anchored being prepped for a cruise of the Maritime Provinces. Yours truly at the helm, of course.
Secondary: Key West as far from Duval street as possible. Overlooking my double masted schooner being prepped for an extended Caribbean cruise. Yours truly at the helm, of course.
Primary: Right here in the Dallas Metroplex where I currently live. Why? No state income tax. Remember, your rich and want to pay as little as possible in taxes . I'd want to keep my kids in the same schools and all my family is here as well. Plus it would have the huge garages w/ the car collection in it.
Secondary: More than one.
1. Lake Tahoe ON the lake. Ideal location for winter and summer recreation.
2. Hilton Head Island.
3. Lake house about an hour away from primary residence (already have one but would want larger to accomodate friends overnight).
4. Galveston Island ON the water (for quick beach trips on long weekends).
5. Savannah - LOVE the architecture and history. It would have to be one of the older homes on one of the squares.
Primary: right here in Brooklyn, because I happen to love my home borough.
Secondary: there's a tall apartment building in the Brickell area of Miami, with terraces painted in the different colors of the rainbow from top to bottom.
#1) Somewhere in NW suburbs of Chicago or Southern WI.
#2) One of those gorgeous "House Trucks" as my youngster calls the really nice, big RV's. I would take my home with me and see & explore the continent. When I get tired of the nomadic lifestyle, hopefully I will have found my place for #2
Now I might reverse it and move to TX (Hill Country/Austin/San Antonio) for #1 and do the RV or go back to Chi-burbs or S. WI in the summer to cool off.
