I think I would choose Denver for my primary. I like the idea of living in the city but with easy access to the Rocky Mountains for recreation.

For the second home, I think I would like Charleston, SC with its coastal location, moderate size, and historic sites and buildings.

For a nice summer home, a mansion in Alaska

For winter I would have to go south to warmer climes, like Montana.

Can't stand crowds

My first home would be in Chicago's northside.
My second home would be in the middle of the wilderness, can't tell you where
And my third, fourth, and fifth homes would be a house boat in Miami Beach, a home somewhere in Asia, and a home somewhere in Italy, in no particular order

EDIT oh wait, disregard, non-US places

Primary would be Yorktown, VA.

Secondary would be Fort Worth or Austin, Texas. Probably Austin.

Of course, this is tongue in cheek because actually both those locations are too far away from family for me to truly consider. Family plays a big role in where I live, but if money was no object, I could just hop on a plane anytime I wanted to spend time with my family.

In the second picture, that dwelling looks like it doesn't have running water.
