I think the people you've described are seeking fun. Of course they're misguided.
O well. Hang out with the older people maybe, at your new job. Maybe one of your peers there will see the light & choose to hang out with you sometime.
You could host a party (BYOB) & just show you do know how to have fun. Show you don't mind if they drink while you have fun!
