as i said, before, it doesn't matter if the bans and taxes are for health or politics, i will continue to support them, as long as selfish people like you exist.
Riiiiight, I'm selfish.

Noise ordinances have to to with people working, and needing their sleep. If you have an example of a legally mandated "quiet zone" feel more than free to post it. Smoking bans are a matter of bandwagon politics, and for some odd reason seem to get passed around voting time.

"Selfish" is passing laws NOT based on any peer reviewed clinical research because a very, very tiny minority are "offended" by the smell of tobacco smoke.

If you REALLY think it's all about public health, and you live in a colder climate in an urban, stand around any public school and breath in the fumes from their furnaces.

oh and you are?
be honest here, you want to smoke wherever you please and you don't care how it affects others.

1. Never said, nor insinuated, that I was representing the majority.

2. Yup, I would like to "smoke wherever I please", and considering the current Prohibition style War on Smokers isn't based on anything scientific, I SHOULD be able to "smoke wherever I please".

3. As noted earlier in this thread, I do not smoke in the homes of friends who do not smoke themselves and I step away from non-smokers when I light up. Might make an exception in your case tho.

you dance around it, but do not acknowledge anything except that u dont smoke around friends, your consideration does not extend beyond that.

Miss the "step-away from non-smokers" portion did you.

Not enough?

Tough, I made the effort.

There is just no pleasing some people, like yourself apperently.

These types of people can go spit into the wind for all I care.
