Not sure if you're being facetious or not...but-- it would be pretty difficult to tune multiple MW frequencies with what amounts to a 70 kg inhomogeneous conglomeration of dozens of blobs of gelatin of widely varying concentrations. That's why Ella can't get a regular drinking glass to break except by dropping it.

I contactED PNM and they told me they don't have smart meters but they are starting to use digital meters now. Are they not the same thing?

No. A digital meter is like the odometer on your car, one line of digits, as opposed to the old face with 5 small dials turning in opposite directions. Smart meters are also digital but beyond that not only records but also communicates with the utility.
