Havana Kitchen has closed but another restaurant is already planned for the space.

That shut down fast! I wonder if the construction did them in or if that's a location that has the 'kiss of death' for restaurants.

That location seemed to do well as Mimi's, but since then there's an array of new restaurants and bars near the Regal location up the road. I would expect things are more challenging now, especially with construction.

They said in the article I read that they got an offer to try something that they couldnt pass up for the spot. Must be something huge to dump everything and change so quick.

Maybe it was just me, but I think the food was overrated. I visited a few times and just wasn't impressed. I believe their Tropical Grille food was better.

I wonder if it's going to be torn down for another restaurant. I expect Panera at GreenRidge will relocate eventually to a freestanding restaurant with drive thru if not GR then somewhere on Woodruff.

Not Panera: "The owners of Havana Kitchen are partnering with another local brand to bring the concept to Woodruff Road"
