Sorry don't know if this has been posted before but Jasmine Thai on Wade Hampton is closed. Met a friend there yesterday and was very disappointed; there was nothing online indicating that it was closed. W ended up at Sirin which was decent but a .little more expensive.
Went for a quick egg McMuffin at about 7:00 this morning only to discover that McDonalds on Old Spartanburg and Brushy Creek is closed, complete with barricades in the parking lot and all signage removed.

Maybe they are going to rebuild. They have replaced quite a few of their restaurants in the area. Some have kept the drive thru open during construction while others have been complete tear down and rebuild.

Something definitely needed be done with that McDonalds. The dining area was in rough shape and service in general is very slow there. 15+ minutes in the drive thru wasn't uncommon. Also wasn't uncommon to hear employees complaining about how some piece of equipment was broken. If it comes back hopefully its under new management. Not sure how many McDonalds franchisees there are in this area, but I got the impression that location was run by a different one than other nearby locations.
Yeah, I remember the HT and the Winn Dixie around the corner. I'm surprised that Bi Lo farther up old spartanburg is still kicking.
I’m not. It’s the only grocery store around there. In fact, the only grocery stores anywhere near there are Bi-Lo’s unless you go to Publix near Thornblade, Lowe’s at Riverside High, or Walmart along with Aldi on Wade Hampton Blvd.
Seems like The Harris Teeter was built there late 80's so that's probably about right.
Harris Teeter opened in 1989, then closed in 2001 after being divested to BI-LO.
