Did design review kill it because it kind of reminds me of a motel where all the rooms open to the parking area with that split exterior staircase in the middle? Retail with lofts on top over head would probably look better.

Property in foreclosure. Owner slow-walking legal proceedings. Will remain an eyesore for a while.
Brookstone #178 was one of the few stores remaining at Haywood Mall I liked. Its closing is a surprise unless it was unable to renew its lease with Simon.

I wonder if Haywood mall is trying to attract more popular stores alongside its renovation efforts. Nike,Under Armour,Patagonia,Polo,West Elm, Sur La Table, etc. would be great additions.

I wonder if the Greenville location was not the only one to close recently. Its location at 4 Tunnel Road, Asheville, North Carolina 28805-1230, closed before 2012, and was replaced by Buffalo Wild Wings. Don Pablo's does not have locations in Georgia and North Carolina. ("Locations | Don Pablo's")
I would not be surprised by the closing considering the increase of various Texan-Mexican restaurants in the Greenville area.
