Not everything can go in the former Steve & Barry's at The Gallery. I think the greatest need along Haywood Road and reaching out to Gower Estates and Verdae would be a supermarket, pharmacy and a gas station. Ingle's is the only chain able to provide those necessities in one location. (Walmart with Murphy USA is different.) Whether is is here or another location nearby, Ingle's would be successful. Publix could also jump in on the bandwagon.

I would not mind another fast food burger restaurant opening along Haywood Road. The Clock opening at 545 Congaree Road, formerly Jack in the Box store 6409, will be a nice alternative. Instead of seeing another McDonald's, I like to see something like Dairy Queen Grill & Chill open.

I'd personally like to see a machine that dispenses $1,000 bills to only me and as many as I want, any time I want them. Please, please, pretty please quit clogging this forum with random wishes for random retail development. You wishing for things doesn't make it any more likely to happen. These kinds of discussions once in a while are okay but multiple posts about the same locations several times a day every day for over a month now is ridiculous.

I believe there is a plan in the works to revitalize the Haywood Rd. corridor, including a renovation of Haywood Mall.
