I'm just saying there's the mass-type businesses that (thank God) ARE out on the bypass. So now, downtowns of these small towns-turned-bedroom communities can concentrate on higher-quality things to draw people for reasons other than picking up their prescriptions or doing their grocery shopping or buying a tank of gas. Greer is further along on this path, and is a good model for Easley.

Someone who was at the groundbreaking for the medical center in Powdersville this am said that Academy is coming beside Kohl's. Can anyone verify this or is it just rumor?

Negotiations continue with them but a lease has not been signed yet.

Yep...you're welcome. If you look at the site plan for Easley Town Center, Academy is looking at the largest tenant space on the very far right side of the property.

I actually emailed Academy awhile back, and not that they have any reason to tell me, but they said while they do have plans to continue expanding in SC, they did not yet have a plan for a store in Easley. this was about 3 months ago?
