Anyone know when Firebirds at Magnolia Park is opening? The building seems like it has been finished since late summer and the signs have been up since long ago. Now would seem to be the time to open to take advantage of the Holiday traffic.
A couple who relocated from Rhode Island is planning to open an Oil & Vinegar franchise on Main Street in mid-November. I am very excited about this addition to the downtown shopping scene! It is an excellent company and should compliment the Spice & Tea Exchange well, not to mention other businesses like Charleston Cooks and The Cooks Station.
Oil & Vinegar now open next to Kilwins in NOMA square.
Firebirds is offering a $10 gift card with a $50 gift card purchase. You can purchase the cards electronically on their website and use if for yourself if you like.
I've been to Mr. K's used bookstore just up the road from Books a Million and while it is a nice store, it is not that busy. I don't see how two used book "superstores" will do so close in proximity to each other.
Mr. K's stays busy. It depends on when you go in. It's not a "superstore" by any stretch. But there are always a good many people there. You certainly have to wait on your trade credit to be tallied.
They also sell new books at competitive prices but you can't use trade credit on these. I will continue to patronize them over this 2nd and Charles place simply because I prefer locals/small chains as opposed to the larger ones.
