I didn't know that. It was something to do with NY Burgers I believe in its last reincarnation.

The new Cuban Deli opened in the old Quizno's next to Bi-Lo on Fairview Rd in Simpsonville. (The over head sign was not up when I was there on Friday).

They have torn up half the parking lot where the shopping center where the new Walmart Neighborhood Market in Greer on Wade Hampton is going. Seems they're beginning to sprucen up the center! Also see a new sign has gone up where the Kohls is going to be, though, no names on it yet other than the centers name itself.

That center is getting a whole new look including Belk and the courtyard shops between Belk and the rest. I saw the rendering somewhere and its going to be a stacked stone look from what I could tell. I read where Belks interior was supposed to be updated in 2013 but they were looking at moving it up. Not sure what they decided.

I can't tell anything has been done to the old Kmart. I know Kohls does their grand openings all on the same date twice a year (Sept and March) Its getting late to make the fall opening maybe they are planning on Spring 2013.

I visit Greenwood in the lower upstate quite a bit and the same thing is happening there. Kohls is opening in September and Belk is totally remaking their store there with shiny white floors and a contemporary look. I hope the Greer and Haywood stores get this too.

Sounds good It's good to hear about positive growth. No word on TJ Maxx, Marshall's or Ross in Greer yet Maybe one or more will be soon to follow. I think alot of people would be all for it.

Was going down Haywood yesterday towards Laurens and noticed a restaurant on the left side called Habiba's - didn't think it was open (didn't notice to well, whizzed by too fast going to Papas & Beer) When I looked for their website, it seems it has opened, though I can't tell what hours they're open from on their website. Has anyone tried this place yet? I was at Pita House on Sat (LOVE their falafels) and welcome another Middle Eastern place. Hope it's good!

Habiba Restaurant - Mediterranean Cuisine & Hookah Lounge

If anyone goes, please post your thoughts. Thanks!
