two of our dogs woke me this morning around 3 am..........because of the storms last night I don't think they went out before bed.........they are back asleep.....I am still up.

I might just as well make some coffee. Its ok ... I can nap later in the day.

That's what I do. Since I always get up so early I nap. At least we are getting sleep. Hope you got that much needed rain!

Hope that helps with your drought in your area!
It was very hot yesterday and my friend who mows my lawn and I took a ride to Concord. I called him in the AM and asked if he'd like to get out for the day and he agreed. He drives an older car and it decided to overheat. We did take care of it but there was a period of time I was a little worried. But it all worked out fine. We even had lunch out so that was nice too. I had a fresh bowl of sliced fruit and a green salad--nice, cool and refreshing. I am so blessed to have this man as my friend. What a caring lovely guy he is and the best part is we are just friends so that makes it even better!
I was up until after 8pm last night and still woke up at 2am. I think my neighbors dogs start barking around that time at the deer and other wildlife.I just could not get back to sleep so I am sure a nap will be in order today.
My pet sitting for my neighbor is going fine and I work Sunday night, Monday night and Thursday for a few hours in the day. It's not as much as I had but it beats a sharp stick in the eye! Not sure how I will ever catch up but all I can do is try!
How is the roofing coming along Molly?
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

I have read your postings here and I guess some will disagree but I feel like sometimes all you can do is sleep and hope that enogh time will pass and you will feel less depressed. Your dogs just died and they were your companions.

My wife passed recently and I wrote on this grief forum and many people gave good advice but sometimes I just can’t put it to use. All I can do is try to escape. We had pets, too, but every time we lost one it was harder to bear so we did not get more. I couldn’t take care of them now, that is for sure

We didn’t have family so I really am alone now. I hope that if enough time passes, the pain will not be so bad. I hope the pain becomes less for you, but I think sometimes all you can do is try to escape.

I wish I could think of something to say to help you, but I think its ok to just sleep sometimes. For me, no one notices or cares so why not.

My dear eric johns--you just said plenty--enough for me to agree and feel less guilty for sleeping longer nights then the norm! Thank you so much for your share, it made my day! I hope things improve for you and life gets a little easier. Grief and loneliness is not an easy thing to get through!
