mix a pinch of baking soda in to some shampoo and wash. Next time just use a leave in conditioner.

I love it in my hair. I use a tiny amount (rub between my hands to soften it) and put it on after shampoo /before blow dryer or just as a defrizzer on days that I don't wash my hair. My hair is thick and wavy. The oil keeps it sift and manageable

To really get grease out, use Dawn dishwashing liquid. Just a drop, its concentrated! I used it on my DS head when he returned from Boy Scout Camp, a week of no showers!

I don't know what it would do to your color, though....

Shira take a look at the Karmin hair repair system. The argan hair oil either on wet or dry hair definitely controls frizz.

This thread cracks me up.

Sorry you got so much oil on your head, OP. It reminds me of the time I read in Seventeen magazine that mayonnaise was good for your hair.

My mom didnt get as mad about that as she did when I cracked an egg on my head in a steaming hot shower. Getting scrambled eggs out of the tub is easier than getting them out of your hair.

Your post reminded me of the time my daughter (also standing in a hot shower) decided that tomatoes & eggs were good for her hair - you can imagine what her hair looked like. It took her a couple of hours to remove the egg & tomatoes. Needless to say she never ever did it again!

No deep conditioning oil treatments are meant for my hair. They're intended for people with dry hair/dry scalp issues, not people with an abundance of oil. Very light conditioning is all I require, at most. The current "oil, oil, oil" trend? Not for me.

Know what works for your hair.

Also, you say you had foils? I'm assuming highlights?

If that's the case, no cleansing or conditioning product should affect the color.

I apply coconut oil daily to my hair but only apply a pea-size amount. I rub it in my hands to liquify it and then rub my hands over my dry hair.
