I always prefer longer hair on a woman. In most cases, longer hair can make or break the difference in a girls appeal. Halle Berry is a perfect example of someone who can pull off short hair with stunning results. The girl that the OP posted is not. Her bangs are way too short, that just looks like a bad haircut, next time use a bigger bowl.
Sadly, many women don't get this. They have beautiful hair, but upon marriage and the birth of their first child they chop it all off and gain 40 pounds, then get on C-D and ask why their husband is watching so much porn.
And what do you do in the marriage? Gain 50 pounds and have a beer belly?!
Wow, I guess I'm one of lucky few who can wear a pixie & look better than with long hair.. This 'all girls with short hair look like crap' mentality gets pretty old. When a few of you start losing your hair in a few years (& that is statistically probable), don't whine because you feel women are less attracted to you. If you want to instantly dismiss a woman because of a hair stereotype you have, then turnabout is fair play.
Frankly, my husband was one of you "long hair only" guys until he met me And I found when I cut my hair short, I got hit on twice as much as when I did with longer hair so apparently the sentiment here isn't a true reflection of all the male society.
PS. the OP's pic is an awful one of Carey as she had just bleached it out (wrong color for her) & the styling is bad.

It is pretty amazing to me how some of the short haired women are trying to turn this thread into a "I hate long haired women" rant. Stupid. If you have short hair, then great, you have short hair. Dont get mad or upset that most men find long hair sexy on women. I, and others have posted vids and pics of short haired women who are quite sexy and beautiful so lets get off of the hate and anger towards guys who prefer long hair. Halle Berry, Nora Jones, Anna Baccarin are some hot hot hot and sexy short haired women.
Now if you have short hair and are fat then it sucks to be you. Especially if you are single.

By the way, my husband is also attracted to women with longer hair. I once cut my hair pretty short (not nearly) as short as the OP's picture, it wasn't a boyish haircut, but it was more like a bob that Katie Holmes has, and I could see in his face that he was dissappointed while all my female friends told me that I looked "so chick and so stylish". Men don't really care about the "so chick" look.

I don't think that's what people were saying. For the most part, for a woman to be able to pull off short hair she has to have a sense of style and attractive features. That doesn't mean that only women with short hair are beautiful, more that you need to be pretty to begin with to look good with short hair. Whereas long hair might camouflage a multitude of sins.
