It's a fantasy to think you'll find those positions as an outsider. Those are internal promotions or transfers. Those highly coveted positions are spoken for.

My husband will tell the company he is already talking to and the recruitment firm they are paying to find them a qualified candidate that the position is already spoken for, since you are positive that is how Hawaii resorts operate, and I'm sure since you've stated what you have, you have considerable experience in executive resort management.
We are doomed for failure, and should always live in a totally safe, restricted, KNOWN environment, especially since we have kids who are delicate.
Job advice is not something I asked for, but thanks for your contribution. I've already stated we won't move without him having a good one, so why beat the pua'a to death?
I doubt anything I say will make a difference in your opinion, and that is fine, I don't need to change it, but this thread has been very helpful in many areas so I still appreciate all the comments.
Does anyone know if the Big Island has a gymnastics or cheer gym? I found them on the other islands. One of my girls tumbles, she just needs a place to maintain her skills, not a team sport. She can do it on a track or field but a tumbling mat is better.

Please don't be discouraged. I think you'll find that most people here are welcoming and helpful.

My impression is that there are several places around that do at least basic gymnastics, but this is a big place in Kailua-Kona that has been there for years. There's a good picture of the place on their home page.

It's not that your children are delicate. It's just weighing the pros and cons and making the right choice. I read about incidents happening in schools and nothing being done about it. That makes me step back and weigh my options. Like you, I came here looking for information about moving. I hope you find the info you're looking for. Some people have much more determination than others, this is a major determining factor of success.
