There’s a place I really want to go. But I want to go without feeling guilty. What am I talking about? The coronavirus. Should I worry?

I'm worried since I help take care of my elderly mother...practicing social distancing and cooking ALL meals at home now for last few weeks until I see how this further pans out.

Maybe okay if you are younger and not around elderly family members? Best during off hours when not crowded.

Good question...would like to know more input on this...

No desire to shop, go to movies or restaurants. Husband and I are 64 and 73 so we are in that at-risk age-group. And we live in WA state - the eipicenter of the virus.

Okay so maybe I’ll go around 2 pm? It’s kinda busy at noon.

I am around my parents who are in late 60s. They have some conditions but are generally healthy.

I always wash hands and use a sanitizer. Now am using Clorox for phones and things.

Maybe if I go to restaurant and stay far away from anyone else?

Same here, but we are aware of places where we can go and be almost alone at about 4:30-5:00. All restaurants are suffering from less traffic, so we like to help out our favorites to help keep them going.

No movies.

For example, Ivar's Fish Bar Issaquah, or the Sammamish Cafe.

I wouldn’t go to a buffet, they are breeding grounds for germs. Not sure about a regular restaurant. Las Vegas has closed several of their buffets already.

We are elderly and self-quarantining, as other elders in my family are doing....we won't be seeing relatives for social events until this is over. You might ask your parents if they will be doing the same before you expose them unnecessarily to what could be a risky visit for them.

As Gov. Inslee said in an address yesterday regarding visiting older people, cancelling parties, etc, “The penalty is you might be killing your granddad if you don’t do it. I am serious,” he said.

Heat kills the virus so make sure they cook the food thoroughly at the proper temperature. If in doubt bring a thermometer to check before taking a bite. Oh yes, and make sure the wait staff is wearing germ free gloves when serving. Bring a sanitizer to wipe off the menu too. Let's see, what else can we panic about. Oh yes the door knobs into the restrooms too.

You MUST go sometime soon? You can't wait until things shake out?

I’m going out for lunch tomorrow in what will be a crowded restaurant. I have zero worries or concerns because I refuse to live my life that way.
