I'm about 2 years older than you and I've never been a fan of Advil or Tylenol or Motrin, I just let my body do it's thing.

So it's been 26 and a half hours since my booster shot, and no more soreness in my arm!

Nobody likes to take medication. So you are willing to take the pain?

I rarely, if ever have any pain (for me, a mild sore arm, is not really pain!), I guess I'm lucky. I might get a headache once every 5 to 10 years or even longer, I never had any issues sleeping at night, typically get 8-9 hours, no problem whatsoever.

Doc on TV said by crossing over from Pfiser to Moderna or visa versa, you give your body an extra boost of immunity. I stayed on the same vax (Moderna) and I'm not sure had I known about the extra boost if I would have tried to cross. I don't think so, my appointment was too convenient, right day, right time.

On a side note - I have friends that are double vaxed, double boosted, and each one became very ill. I will use every tool available to me to keep this virus away. That includes masking in public and avoiding crowds. Next weekend there's a craft festival, I will go, but be one of the first to enter and exit.

You said you couldn't sleep on one side for several nights because of the pain after earlier vaccinations

I couldn't even sleep on that side for a few days and it hurt to lift my arm above my head!

Yes I did say that and I spelt on my other arm just fine during that time, you know we have two arms (at least some of us do)!

I'm usually a left arm dominate sleeper, and just adjusted and was still able to sleep just fine on my right arm, after I got the 1st and 2nd Pfizer shots.

Got my updated Pfizer booster on Monday and absolutely no side effects whatsoever, not even a sore arm. It was the same with my other four shots. Like others, the Shingrix vaccine kicked my butt though. Holding off on getting the flu vaccine until late in October.

Anyway, looking forward to doing stuff like indoor dining again, and relaxing a lot regarding indoor masking.

Whoever is advertising to get the booster is saying to do it around Halloween so that it is ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities.

If I heard it again, I'll pay attention to who is saying it, manufactures or the CDC.

If the supply runs dry soon, perhaps we will better understand the reasoning of that later time-frame recommendation.
