I haven't repaired anything that i can recall, but I fixed a good martini. Fixing and repairing are synonyms, so I guess you could say I repaired a martini.

I adjusted the spring tensions for the springs on a garage door that's opened by hand, and in the process swapped out some rusted chains securing the springs to the garage.

I have been fixing, as well as creating and building, things for over 60 years. Last thing I fixed around the house was a broken cup I glued back together with super glue (good stuff). One of the more interesting fixes was to a coffee grinder where the motor windings became disconnected from the communator. A little bit of solder and the thing has worked for years.

One of my major annoyances is stuff designed for quick assembly with twisted tabs or epoxy resin that make disassembly nearly impossible without destroying the device even more than it is. Ultrasonic welding is another PIA.

I ripped the old shredded cover off a perfectly good seat pad, and made a new washable cotton pad for our desk chair. Now I just need someone to explain why an outdoor Sunbrella fabric chair pad -- one that meant to be left out in the rain -- isn't washable.

Washed it, and the fabric shredded right up.
