Maybe borrow a dog from a friend for a day or two. The dog will scare the dickens out of the birds and also leave his scent everywhere. They'll stay away, at least for a while.
After a month or two, repeat the procedure. Or you might get a dog yourself! They're nice.
That's easy. Ducks are very smart and law abiding. all you have to do is post a sign in your yard "No Ducks allowed" and they will stop coming. I know for a fact this works because I too had a problem with ducks coming into my yard until I figured out how they think and live. Good luck.
We have an issue here at our new home behind a pond. There are ducks walking across my yard. I wouldn't mind if all they did was walk and fly away, but they excrete raw feces all over . Is there any repellent one can buy to prevent ducks from entering the yard. I don't want my lawn or garden to be spoiled because of this. Any advice from other home owners living nearby ponds on how this can be prevented. I am not able to find any repellent products being sold in stores here, so whats your advice on purchasing it online.
sorry... but what is wrong with ducks being ducks? Unless you'll be sitting in the poopy grass -Try chairs and practice appreciation.
You could try little "detour signs" or get a hawk or two.
