Since water quality is not your job, and you don't know much if anything about it, people should not listen to your opinions in threads like this.
You would be surprised (but deny it I'm sure) if you knew how much water treatment equipment I sell in MI. The difference between us is a lot more than a million dollars worth of equipment depending on a state license and my computer and phone.
Sure you are The Dollar Store, I am not. The house I am working on today has seven and 1/2 bathrooms, two hot tubs and a big irrigated lawn. We need 45/50 GPM. No problem, they are not worried about every dime, they want the service.

LOL Are you counting the hot tubs??? Maybe so......I am not impressed by a home very easily, this one got to me. We will hung a 5hp pump at 200 foot. New for me. This job is going to take three days.
Mike told me that new dug wells are not allowed but, there are a number of existing dug wells in MI.
Mike says you're incorrect, you are only required to shock a well you just drilled or worked on and the testing is only for coliform bacteria and not potability of all things that would make water non potable.

I do not disagree however, the township this well was in has a "point of sale" rule. Nothing can be grandfather.
