I forgot how nice uptown looks at Christmas (minus the shoppers). I drove along PostOak Blvd this weekend late at night when it's all quiet, was gorgeous. Someone should redo the youtube above but at Christmas, drive around uptown, along Westheimer to River Oaks.

I don't care for Uptown anymore - to me, its lost its cache. It's just upscale facade and shops with gawkers, wanna-be's, thugs after the gawkers and wanna-be's. It can still be eye-candy but unwrap it and meh..... But that said, I can't think of any part of Houston that I am particularly enamored of anymore -- kind of all the same, just different incomes.

The income disparity around there is pretty interesting. We went to that cupcake place (crave?). We actually walked.

If you ever see a couple of nerdy looking 30 something white guys with a beautiful black lady, you probably saw me about Uptown.

For some reason, alot of people think that if you wear a fitted hat and anything other than a suit and BMW that you're a low-life thug.
