Anybody know the reason for the police detour early this morning at around 5:30am? Traffic was diverted off 1463 between the new light at Spring Green and the new light at Kingsland. No apparent reason that I could see, the road looked clear.

As fast as those trucks run that stretch of road I figured it was only a matter of time.

Highly doubt it's a Randall's...they are going to be pulling out of Houston in the next year or two.

It's going to be a Kroger. Randalls probably will not be building any new stores in the Houston area. I was talking to someone with Kroger and was told it would not be until 2015 before this store was completed. They will be starting a Kroger market place on the north side of I-10 soon. It will be at 99 and Franz from what I was told.

Updated list of Tenants (Besides Kroger Marketplace):

-24 hour fitness (37,000 sq ft., 2 stories, so I imagine its going to be a super sport)
-MOD Pizza
-Ritter's Custard
-Subway
-Salon
-Postal Plus
-Pet Store (maybe Petco?)

I think a gym in this area is needed. Great location.

The gym will be awesome. Having a Kroger there will be nice as well.

Curious to see what restaurants go in there.

This development is certainly needed. The 1463 corridor is growing quickly, and the northern portion could use more commercial options. Having witnessed the rapid expansion of Firethorne, Reserve at Katy, CR Northwest, etc, I imagine this area will be unrecognizable in 5 years, especially with the Trails of Katy, Tamarron, the KB homes communities going up West of the area.

Looking at FBCAD, the land in between Firethorne, the Reserve at Katy, Avalon at Spring Green, and this commercial development is owned by Toll Brothers. Does anyone know if this area will eventually be incorporated into the Reserve at Katy, or will Toll Brothers develop it into something else?
