BP stands for nothing anymore. It's just BP, not an abbreviation for British Petroleum (probably the result of the Deepwater Horizon).

I don't care what anecdotal stories you have about recruiters. BP is a UK company HQ'ed in London. Them's the facts.

Second, IN MY POST I said that BP is just BP now, and not British Petroleum. That's a reflection of many things, none of which are them not being British. I said all that (typed it, actually), and then you reply as if you're breaking news.

And they changed to BP in 2001. When was Deepwater Horizon?

One of my fave quotes: "Better to keep quiet and be thought a fool, than speak up and remove all doubt".

You might want to read posts much more carefully, so I don't have to repeat myself.
