Houston's black community has their eyes on Minneapolis; They better not let Chauvin walk or Houston will be pissed off. Houston saluted him the right way with a huge mural on Alabama in 3rd Ward. The mural goes all the way to Yates HS. Not a week goes by that I don't ride by the mural.

Although I do believe Chauvin should be found guilty, I don't see why you would want to salute a man who was a drug addict, arrested at least 8 times, one of which he was disguised as a utility worker, forced entry into a woman's home, and committed an armed robbery.

I don't think being PO'ed will accomplish much. It never has.

Even if he did do wrong, it's still no reason for him to die the way he did. Floyd went to Minneapolis for a fresh start in life because he got in a lot of trouble while in Houston. I'm not condoning the wrong he did, I'm just saying he would still be alive today if Chauvin hadn't used lethal force.

It's a start. Being PO'ed has led to police reform for all depts. nationwide.

Agreed. Praying for his family's peace. That was a cruel, unnecessary death.

It has become evident to me more and more each day that we are all flawed. We wouldn’t be saluting many people if the litmus test is an unblemished life.

I remember when that Sheriff was shot and killed in NW Houston a few years ago. The community rallied around “the blue” and his wife. Then it came out that the guy was cheating on his wife. That was awkward.

George Floyd represents a life that was taken due to a lack of respect for human life. It makes me angry thinking about it!

THIS 1000%. It's disgusting, period. Even if he had issues, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. He didn't deserve to die, much less a death like that, & if you are OK with that, then you are a part of the problem.

Agree, people acting as he was Fred Hampton or Huey P. Newton... but Chauvin definitely needs to rot in jail.

How many of us have never made a mistake in our lives? I'll wait. George Floyd was loved & respected by all who knew him, but I guess people would rather look at the bad he did. Floyd's kids have to grow up without their father, and that's what makes me feel bad about his death.
