Para, I'm with the guy who thinks this is non-sence sorry, but even if the concert had been just halted long enough to restore control over the crowd maybe fewer injuries and deaths may have occured and who knows maybe the concert could have continued as schedualed.

To say if the concert is cancelled more deaths would happen because the concert goers are animals that need to be whispered is a concerning commentary about Travis Scotts fanbase and todays pop culture in general to say the least.

To the second, look at the events of Playboi Carti (also at NRG) who’s fanbase is almost as bad when his show got canceled. Then replace the environment there with the festival. I get it’s hard to grasp for an outsider, but this is the case. Obviously NRG has a security problem these two events show this. Again the idea that canceling would have lessened the situation is sadly not true. Those who were there know

So the crowd who was literally chanting "STOP THE SHOW, STOP THE SHOW" would somehow go on to riot and cause additional deaths had the show been stopped? Some fan base we have here. There better never be another Astroworld festival.

You think The “stop the show” crowd was definitive of everyone there? They were tiny compared to the rest. As a matter of a fact, MANY of them were right next to the stop the show guys yelling “stfu”. The now famous video of a dude climbing a ladder to try to convince officials to take action only to get booed by the people around him who didn’t care. Were the show canceled, the angry majority would have squashed the vulnerable crowd wanting to take action.

This is a break down of the crowd during the set.

The majority of the crowd was unaware of any chaos going on.

A few sections particularly left stage side experienced a crush.

WITHIN those sections experiencing the chaos, many either didn’t know how bad it was or didn’t care to help those who were suffocating.

If the stop the show crowd was definitive of the entire crowd, the problem wouldn’t have erupted to begin with.

They could learn a thing or two from C3 who does ACL/Lalapalooza

Live Nation is also the team behind POST Houston where they’re building out music space. I hope POST Houston owners reconsider.

Also, pretty interesting symbolism they went with for the concert stage and prop design, given the tragedy:

Look I'll just say it... this feels more like an occult ritual than it does a random act of negligence... a lot of reports from people who were at the show speaking about how satanic and demon like it felt. Now a lot of these people were trippin but people trip at EDC (more even!) and you never hear reports of things feeling evil. From the symbolism being put up on screens to the art on some of the marketing materials this year and the strange vibe travis scott was giving off.

Anyone see the clip of TS chanting "yeah" as he stared into a lifeless body that was being carried away? If you follow gematria or numerology then you know that astroworld and sacrificd have the same numbers. A chick told me once she felt something similar at a beyonce concert years ago and since has never been back to one. These entertainers belong to a different world.

Just in… live nation supposedly has had 200+ deaths and 750+ injuries since 2006 with concerts/fests. in 6 diff countries

Maybe Ashbeigh is on to something. Rolling Loud had smaller scale tradegies themselves while as she mentions C3 seems to have more responsibly held events.

I’m sure Greg Abbott will step up and do something to avoid more deaths
Just like he did with ERCOT … uhh wait, he hasn’t done anything

People need to cut it out with the devil stuff. It just makes you look ignorant to start theorizing that "maybe the devil was there." This is a terrible tragedy, probably mostly caused by two things. The first is a 50,000 person crowd at a raucous music show and the second is a promoter that cares more about money than about setting up a safe environment.
