Good choice for location if that turns out to be true. Easy ride to Toyota Center, easy ride to the west side neighborhoods where most of the players/coaches live. Win-win.

It’s kind of in no man’s land…is this a good location?

Practice facilities aren’t designed to be in exciting areas. When you look around the league, they’re generally in somewhat secluded areas. Some more then others. They’re meant to be practice facilities, so not ideal to have immediate distractions. For that reason, I agree with the above that it’s a solid area. It’s close enough to the Galleria, Post Oak Hotel and River Oaks which are points of interests for players each for their own reason. And it’s not too far from Toyota center

And I think over time this area will pick up - it's too well-located not to, plus the Inner Katy BRT line is coming. It won't be a no-mans land forever.

I agree. If that rail to Dallas ever gets going, isn't the station supposed to be close to here?

Yes, it would be located at Northwest Mall, just to the north of this location. I don’t think that will ever happen, but eventually some new developments will come to this area - as others have mentioned, the location is great and near decent neighborhoods like Spring Branch East and Timbergrove.

Agree with the above, but additionally, practice facilities aren’t particularly meant to be in exciting areas

Permit listed for new practice facility. HAIF users think they got the address wrong on the permit.

"I have no desire just to build a practice facility," Fertitta said. "We would turn it into 100 percent some type of entertainment facility built around the practice and training facility. It will be an entertainment venue. The practice facility will be part of it. We will look at what's the best place for us to put it so it's convenient for our coaches and players and financially."

Unless he has changed his mind on what he wants from this facility or the address is incorrect, it doesn’t seem like this is a 100% ideal location for an entertainment venue. I could be wrong.
