Brad Smith appointed to Amazon Board of Directors. It’ll be interesting to see if this brings any economic benefit to the area as well.

Default New Summit Community Bank

The new Summit Community Bank building across Fifth Avenue from Marshall University is a really nice looking building. Another nice addition to the Marshall area!

A new development is planned on 5th Ave where the old YWCA was. There’s a lot of potential at that site with the traffic count and close proximity to the court house, city hall and the Corps of Engineers:

I imagine this will be similar to the development they built further down 5th Ave across from the football stadium with the Starbucks, Qdoba, etc. I bet this one will also pull in some nation retailers/restaurants. Whatever they put in there, it is development and all development is a good thing for the city.

Agreed. I hope the development on the east end around 5th Ave and 3rd Ave starts sometime soon. I think some of that development is in the abatement process so hopefully dirt starts moving soon.
