With working full time and a husband who is on the road for a living, I basically just keep up with life; the house, fence, yard etc. I'm thinking I need a life

You won't have time for recreation, you'll be too busy plowing/shoveling snow. Just kidding, seems like it right now, but winters are usually fairly mild. I'm getting some projects done on the house. I need to get out on the snowmobile, just waiting for the avalanche danger to drop some in the mountains.

PLL

I also wonder what I will be doing to stay busy when winter comes and the snow flies.
To be honest all I have done for the last many years is ride motorcycle here in central Calif where we currently live. Thats easy no snow here.
Now when we get to Idaho I plan on learning how to ski. My kids will make sure I drag them up to Bogus several times a month. So why not learn to ski.
I'll be in my late 50's but if my knees can handle 100 miles of dirtbike trails then they should be able to ski the bunny hills.
Everything else to stay busy will just come naturally. I might even pick a book up again.

Looking forward to learning how to relax.

Skiing is expensive and I'm up there in age. I skiied a couple times in my youth and didn't enjoy it. It hurts to fall. Also, if I'm going to spend that kinda money I want to have fun. Plus, remember I don't enjoy the cold. But I liked the reading part of your response. There's lots of time to read up here.
