My sister lived in Rancho Cucamonga in CA and she had an apple tree and a lemon tree in the front yard. She told me one day a whole family of illegals got out of a pickup and starting taking her bounty!

He hopes to move to Germany someday, he is very discouraged by what he sees here in the US for his future. Sad, but we hope that if he goes we can join him later on. I dont get to use my German very often here ( although I do what he does on occasion)and it would be nice to be with extended family.
small world you live in! I have had to work around them for the past 10 years, have yet to meet an illegal that speaks ( willingly) English. Best Buy isnt fast food. Son applied at a total of 12 places that would work with his his college schedule, 5 were retailers. Finally got a job at Radio shack. Where he has been known to talk to the people that cant or wont speak English, in German. he seems to have fun with that.
I live in one of the largest unincorporated areas in California. So no, not really a small world.
If you don't get the job at Best Buy, maybe you could pick strawberries.
Hell to the no. I would never pick strawberries while I can be making over $9 an hour somewhere else with half the back pain. Plus I live quite a ways from the fruit orchards in Fresno.
Try living in the 5th largest city in America!!!!!!! As well as the 7th!
Even so, I think someone told me that my town holds the record for the most fast food restaurants one one boulevard. We have 3 Starbucks on the street, 1 peets, 1 Mc D's, 1 Burger king, 1 Wendy's, 1 Subway, 1 Togos, 1 Jack in the crack, and all these other family owned fast food places.
While true, the issue is, wherever there are large groups of illegal immigrants, there tends to be MORE crime -
