5 million Latino plurality is far more than a hill of beans. Obama won overall by 5 million votes.
46% margin with 11-12% of all voters= an overall +5-5.5% affect (Latinos drop to about 10% off-years). Obama won by 3.9%. That means Obama lost the non-Latino vote.
Then its' time to see if your opinion's correct in that the "Hispanic tribal mentality" overrides being "American" in the US. If you're right: that may come back and bite the Hispanic people hard in the butt.
I'm of Irish family and many of us don't really care that much for Ireland in 2014 because we're def "American" at heart. The prejudice against us is dead because we stepped up and took care of business by the JFK time, 50 years ago.
Tho Ireland in 2014 might be good because the IRA said "we quit" AND the "prods" have stepped back too. Ireland ain't poor anymore.

As a nation, we've definitely discovered what drives the vast majority of the Latino votes.
So...the key to getting the Hispanic vote is to pander to lawbreakers. I find that very insulting.
Once again, bob---no politician on either side of the aisle should pander to lawbreakers or those who aid and abet said lawbreakers. If the lawbreakers don't like it, well...too bad. It makes no sense to pander to a voting bloc that amounts to 10% of all voters---especially when it is assumed that all Hispanics want amnesty for illegals.
