WASHINGTON (AP) - Millions of immigrants benefiting from President Barack Obama's executive actions could get a windfall from the IRS, a reversal of fortune after years of paying taxes to help fund government programs they were banned from receiving.
Armed with new Social Security numbers, many of these immigrants who were living in the U.S. illegally will now be able to claim up to four years' worth of tax credits designed to benefit the working poor. For big families, that's a maximum of nearly $24,000, as long as they can document their earnings during those years.
If they were paying payroll taxes, an employer would have had to give them fake numbers, no? Nothing is going to change until we actually make the effort to crack down on those, yet nobody ever seems to mention that side.
What, making business owners responsible for immigration enforcement?
So basically we currently take advantage of illegals to help boost tax dollars, and this EO would mean we would take less advantage of illegals as long as they can prove their income during the past four years.
Sounds insane to me, but it wont be long before the koolaid drinkers chime in to say how it is social justice.

Keep their money....they deserve to lose it SOBs......
I don't disagree with this. I don't necessarily disagree with giving it to them, either. Both sides have good points.

That's over four years. $8,000/yr.

Many U.S. citizens are lucky if they get a thou back for christs sake.
I don't know about that. Guys I work with who have families (2-4 kids) get $8k to 11k.
