I gotta disagree with this. Just look at the explosion of illegal immigration that happened during Bush 43. He was even pro-amnesty.
What makes you think things would be any different if McCain or Romney had won?
They'd be no different. We'd still have millions of illegals here.
Hopefully they wouldn't have bypassed congress and given millions of illegals a stay of deportation with work permits though and hopefully they wouldn't have instructed Homeland Security not to deport any illegal aliens unless they were "convicted" criminals. The above was all compliments of Obama.
Illegals engage in ID theft. So many native-born Puerto Ricans have been victims of ID theft by illegals that the Puerto Rican government had to take the unprecedented step of declaring all PR-issued birth certificates null and void. Now when native-born PRs need a copy of their birth certificate, they have to jump through many hoops to get a secured, certified copy.
Also, did you know that there is a glaring loophole in the law that says it's okay if someone uses your SSN as long as they don't use your name with it? To add insult to injury, the SSA won't tell you if that happens to you. You only find out when the IRS comes after you for not filing a tax return for a job that you never had. Either that, this happens---a man in TX began wondering why he was getting emails from banks where he didn't have accounts plus the names in the email were not his name. Even worse---when he called the banks, they wouldn't release any info to him due to privacy laws! It took a lot of digging but he found out that at least 50 illegals were using his SSN. Another woman in CA discovered 218 illegals were using her SSN---and only found out when the IRS told her that she owed $1 million on back taxes from jobs she never worked!
Congress can close this despicable loophole but, for some reason, refuses to address this.
I know of an incident that happened where my wife use to work. Many Filapinos with Spanish surnames had it happen to them also. Yet the pro-illegals are all concerned about illegal aliens being the poor exploited victims in all of this. Well when you don't play by the rules/laws what do you expect?

Thank You and well thought out post. And true by the way. And while we are at it, sorry, but under Obama there are so many more illegals then there ever were under Bush, I know. I know what I see and experience. And under Bush, I do not remember at all, them being so very demanding and pushy at the same time. They are now under Obama more arrogant, and pushy and demanding as hell. These illegals as of today, are the type with a attitude, and you owe me attitude

The difference is though they probably wouldn't have been rewarded the way that Obama has rewarded them. With work permits and no threat of deportation it even further depletes job opportunities for Americans.

We means the country, the country is padding the taxes it collects with from illegals. That is why you don't see any mass deportation. Why would we if it is a profit for us.
They only have to prove income, not withholding or tax payments.

Yes I did read the story, and if you wish for someone to take advantage of you like that, you could always get a part time minimum wage job and pump out some more kids. Let me know how good that lifestyle is for you.

However, if they don't have an ITIN and are getting taxes taken out of their paychecks, it's for one of two reasons: 1) They are engaging in ID theft, which puts the true owner of that SSN in a world of hurt; or 2) They are using a fake SSN. The consequences of this---if the number belongs to a dead person, the illegal could get away with it. If the number actually belongs to a living person, the true owner of that number will only find out when the IRS goes after him/her for not filing taxes on a job s/he never worked. The SSA won't tell you if someone is using your SSN. If the number is one that hasn't been issued yet, someday a child or legal immigrant that gets that number, will find out the hard way that they have a messed up credit and work history through no fault of their own.
