Who is footing the bill for this nonsense? I saw some reporter interviewing some illegal aliens asking them where they were going....most knew where they wanted to go in the US. And I think Biden government is footing that bill to transport them to their destination. No wonder our nation debt is over 33 trillion dollars.
I agree, but with the aid of the media, leftists alter actual descriptive words to obfuscate reality. So rather than use illegal alien (which is the correct and long-standing way of describing them), I have heard terms as absurd as "undocumented citizens" having been floated.

The time-tested City-Data rightwing maneuver of posting something of extremely dubious veracity and have the thread bumped to the top as people point out it's - well, BS?

What an embarrassing line of - I was about to say "reasoning", but let's say "argument" instead - to have to resort to.

So, so many Americans imagine this is possible. It's not.

The reason that some cannot come here legally is because we don't need them as they would be a tax burden on our society and our quotas are limited to 1 million a year. We may need skilled and educated immigrants that can support themselves but not those who cannot without taxpayer subsidies. That's sane immigration policy. In view of this that is no reason to come here illegally or to show up at our border making phoney asylum claims.

Why just the right wing? What are the left doing to alleviate this problem except to encourage more poor foreigners to come here illegally or to make bogus asylum claims who become homeless to or are talking up all the affordable housing as is what we are experiencing right now. All the resources that we are spending on them could go to help our own homeless instead.

How do you think my family got here?

(Just kidding)

I pay taxes too, I’m fine with my tax money going to help immigrants.

This is against the law. If everything you say is true, you could have, and should have, sued the district. You could have received compensatory services, and possibly even had them pay for outside evaluations and outside services, along with all your attorney fees and court costs.

Every time we try… the conservatives call it socialism. Hell, we can’t even give kids free lunch without people calling it “handouts,” or claim it is “double dipping.”

Most conservatives/Republicans don't mind helping our own truly needy through no fault of their own. It's the welfare abusers that they object to. Republicans do object to helping illegal aliens though who don't even have a right to be here.

As for free lunches in school many of the students are provided with it regardless of their parent's income. Is that fair? Those on SNAP benefits are already being provided 3 meals a day on it and then go on to get a free school lunch to? If that isn't double dipping then I don't know what is. The latter is not a topic for discussion in this forum anyway so why even bring that up?
