Sir, ICE wants to arrest anybody illegal and that is a threat or danger to the American people. Don't blame ICE, it's not ICE, it's Border Patrol that is Processing these illegals. All the Border Patrol is restricted from doing their jobs. It's the Administration of DHS and those in the White House that have given executive orders to all the illegals to enter the U.S. instead of being repelled and not allowed to enter.

I'm thankful for Texas for doing what the corrupt leaders of the country will not do, protect the American people. Thank you Governor Abbott and Texas. Now, Arizona you can do the same, take over and protect your citizens and the Border in Arizona.

Agreed, control of the national border is a federal responsibility. But under Biden, not only is the federal government not doing its duty, it's actively working against its own duty. To my knowledge, this situation is unprecedented, where the federal government is subverting its own duty and trying to prohibit a state (Texas, in this case) from doing it for them.

We have a system of checks and balances for a reason. When the Executive Branch fails to do its duty, the Legislative Branch is supposed to check them. Unfortunately, they have not performed their duty either. So now, the State of Texas is acting as a check against the federal government's abuse of its authority. Biden needs to be held in check, and I'm glad to see that Gov. Abbott is willing to step up and do it.

ABBOTT’S BORDER CONTROLS PUSH MIGRANTS TO ARIZONA AND CALIFORNIA

According to US Customs and Border Protection, almost 72% of illegal border crossings are now occurring in Arizona and California.

In December, Texas saw 3,000 to 4,000 illegal crossings every day. Now that’s dropped to around 200.

Good. Now Arizona and California should follow his lead. California won't though, and Arizona may or may not.

Those are the numbers for Del Rio, not all of Texas.

That being said, over 70% of crossings are now in AZ and CA, so it looks like what Abbot is doing is working. Who would have thought that making it more difficult to cross the border would work to deter people from doing so?
