Calling people scum. People who want to live a decent life. Provide a better future for their children, like all parents do. I wonder what you were do if you were in their shoes and had children to care for. It's says a lot about a person when they use the language you do towards people you have never met. Never interacted with. Never interviewed to see why they came illegally? What led them to leave their homeland to risk their lives to come here. No, because they are beneath you, and you are a better person.

Calling people scum.

Parasite is a better analogy and more fitting name to be placed on the cause and effect of it all.

As for the Anchor Baby argument; that is a perverted interpretation of the 14the Amendment-----------especially factoring in that the children of foreign diplomats born here in the USA do not receive birthright citizenship. If such a rule excludes the latter kids; what gives the former a free skate being that their parents are here illegally?

As for the rest of your post: we are now a sovereign nation and have the right to control whom we let in.
Who cares what country has what laws, we need to obey and cherish our laws, and birthright citizenship is the law of the land, lame efforts to try to overturn this law have failed miserably, it has the support of a very large sector of the population and it will be political suicide to try to mess with it, ask Lou Dobbs, lol......

Maybe that child of an illegal will be that doctor who will save your life oneday...you never know.

To answer your other question, no it is not personal. I was born and raised in New York City. So were my parents. My Grand parents came from Puerto Rico to the US in the late 1940s, and they came as US citizens. As you know (or may not), Puerto Ricans are US citzens by birth.

So, no, it's not personal. Is it personal for you?
Probably not. A whopping 4% of MDs are hispanic.

Legalized them...no other option. But, before that...the border must be sealed tight. It is in our country's best interest to legalize these folks as we need the tax revenue. Pay a fine, and take the steps to legalization. These people did not commit murder, rape or some other felony. And they are not criminals until they are convicted in a court of law of a crime. It's simple mathematics. Hello, SS is going broke...many states are broke. Many states would benefit too. Why have these people here and not contribute 100%. Remember, they're not going anywhere! Pro-illegal for me is someone who is cool with people coming in illegally and living here as if it were all good. That I am not.
I've been saying this all along as well. They are not going anywhere. We may be able to deport a few hundred thousand but I doubt we will deport even half of the reported 12 million. The best solution is to legalize those that do contribute to our economy with their job, taxes and a fee.

One rough estimate puts the amount of Social Security taxes alone at around $9 billion per year."
Dont count on getting a response on this one. They dont like using reliable sources.

My question is, a person who can trace their "roots" back to let's say the mid 1700s America, more American than the first Generation Mexican American whose parents are illegal aliens?
It does not matter to me where the parent came from. He/she could be a child of illegal immigrants from China, India, Jamaica, El Salvador...the response will be the same. If they were born here, they are Americans.

According to the dictionary anchor baby refers to a child whos parents are legal and illegal.

Due to your father and my parents, that would make us both anchor babies. Even if my grandparents had green cards (no expiration date/unlimited entrance).

What happend to the law is the law?

"but other laws are cool"? What does that mean? Why are you talking like a teenager? By the way, the 14th Amendment is not a law.

What he means is that many that are against illegal immigrants claim that "the law is the law" to justify with position on the issue but they dont like "certain laws" such as citizenship for the children of. I'm sure he knows the 14th amendment is part of the constitution.
