Oh come on Chicagonut. Now you are going to say that the majority of these bad loans are from Illegals? Fake social security numbers do not have credit reports. You may get a job, but a mortgage...not likely. Stop blaming others...it's our fault. People who brought homes they couldn't afford and the banks who financed them.

It was a combination of both and I never said that the majority of these bad loans are from illegals. Don't put words in my mouth. It is well documented though that a significant number of these loans did go to illegal aliens.

The illegal aliens with bad mortgages did not cause the recession..that is my point. Some people like to make it seem that way. I bet you the number of illegals with "bad loans" still are in their homes. If they have to move their uncles, aunts and cousins in to save it they will. Americans don't work out like that. It's every man for himself.

All of your arguments are moot.

We are now a sovereign nation and have the right to control our borders.

As for the Indians; well, later arrivals subjugated earlier groups. Let that serve as a warning we need to remain strong as a nation. Bisides: all people originated in Africa so every pre Euro 'indigenous' person was of 100% immigrant stock.

And; try using your rationale in Mexico------------most likely you would be booted out or worse. Everything you described happened SoB as well.

You have no proof of that just like I don't have any proof of what percentage of illegal aliens lost their homes in this recession due to bad bank loans. I doubt there are any stats on it that would be given to the public anyway. What I said is that they contributed to it.

To be fair, Detroit is a sanctuary city as well.

The reason why the housing is more expensive in these cities (except Detroit) is because they are centers of technology or commerce. Austin is the Silicon Valley of Texas. San Diego is at the heart of Biotech Beach. Portland and Seattle are a part of the patheon of technology centers.

So if the implication is that illegal immigrants causes a spike in housing prices, this simply is not true.

The middle class is shrinking not because of illegal immigrants. Most sociologists agree that IF incomes fall due to illegal immigrants, it really hits the poorest segment of the population...not the middle class (most illegal immigrants are not in the middle, middle class...not competing for the same jobs typically). There are bigger factors such as outsourcing, automation, and simply pricing people out of the middle class (healthcare, tuition, housing prices...these all outpaced wage increases).
Many middle-class jobs have been transformed into “jobs Americans won’t do” due to the greed of employers who prefer cheap illegal labor. Consequently, illegal aliens do in fact compete against middle-class citizens, and are a primary factor in the decline of this segment of our population. It will be interesting to see which industry will be the next to be added to this ominous list.

It isn’t hard for prices to outpace wages when the wages are constantly being depressed by illegal aliens willing to work for substantially less.

Agreed and it is noticed that many jobs that many working class entry-level jobs that used to pay well have wages that hover around minimum..

As long as our government refuses to address the problem of illegal immigration, this will be a trend that will lead to the demise of our middle-class. It’s sad that so many citizens are willing to sit idly by while our government and their corporate masters send this country into the abyss. Apparently it’s more important for the sheeple to be PC, and to not be labeled racists or xenophobes by illegal aliens and their peddlers.

Exactly! The illegal alien sympths as you have noticed on this forum think that blue collar American workers should just move over and give those once decent paying jobs to illegals and be obligated to further their education and take jobs they may not even want to do. Unbelievable, isn't it? Many blue color workers can't afford to go to college and they already have established families to feed but they should just roll over to accomodate the illegal invaders?

Automation in factories has decreased the number of factory workers by 90%. Computers and the Internet have increased productivity in the office. All that translates in an overwhelming number of low and semi-skilled, union based high paying jobs being phased out. Many developing countries have found financing to set up factories that have again undercut low skilled high paying jobs. Undocumented workers are really irrelevant in world competition and the implementation of technology.
