I rather open economy, suggest people wear masks in public, let people with underlying condition stay home.
I guess you also disagree with Trump’s guidelines for reopening the economy then. That’s fine but just say it. J.B. is simply following Trump’s guidelines.

Where do you plan on moving too might I ask?
Either NWI (Valpo or Chesterton) or back to the North Atlanta burbs since we have family/friends there. Since we have aging parents in Georgia, that one makes the most sense. Fortunately, I work remote so I can easily pack up and move.

Yes, we need a middle ground. It's the only thing that makes sense. Unfortunately common sense and government are like oil and water.

we can either go slow and kill the economy for many years to come, or we can do it quicker and go back to work sooner.

Nobody has this answer, but by years' end we'll have results to determine this.
The idea behind Sweden's approach is to develop immunity for the second wave, their healthcare system wasn't overwhelmed. And from what I can tell, only NYC had issues with lack of bed space etc.
It's also my understanding that some of the idea behind shutting down half the planet was to allow time for healthcare systems to be become better prepared.
We also now know Covid-19 has been around for at least a few years before our discovering it.
Reasonable deduction would conclude Covid to have simply been lumped in with a host of other common virus' for a period of time; lab testing upon a patient's 3rd admission for a "flu"(sorry, couldn't resist!)virus may or may not have been physician protocol.
We need at home testing, not a swab requiring mail in...when the mail isn't running so well lately.
Enjoy your weekend.

I've already walked you through this numerous times.

On another note...I was just at the grocery store, Menards and the bank today. Everyone...young and old...has figured out social distancing, marking off 6 feet markers, wearing masks, using gloves etc. Zero need to keep everything else closed. Let businesses figure it out on their own and reopen the economy immediately.

+1. Indiana continues to make smart fiscal, political, health and economic decisions. Time to book a trip to the dunes!
