you havent seen excitement from me yet... if I got a job that I was happy about... I'd have plenty of excitement ... its not something I only have a limited amount of... if something is worthy of excitement.. guess what I can create as much as I want. No need to ration it here.

Posting a thread saying "I GOT A INTERVIEW" is not excitement????????????????????-lol

I never told no one when I had a interview because I didn't jinx anything.

Actually it was "Finally have an interview!" No bold, capitalization of all letters or multiple exclamation marks... you apparently need much more internet posting experience if you think that was "excitement" or your comment about my other post being " so wild" Just because you would do something different , doesnt make my approach wrong or "wild" Like I said earlier, if you didnt like the title of my thread and want to read negativity.. go elsewhere .. there's plenty for you.

I hope you use better English when counselling your clients.

I'm guessing you're really young and use the word "hater" quite often.

No reason for the attitude, I was just sharing my viewpoint from life experiences that it is better to keep some things to yourself until it is a done deal.

You must believe that to a certain extent as well as you said you haven't shared this with friends or family.

I learned the hard way early on you put something out there that is good energy and you start blabbing about it and it ends up not happening.

Maybe it's just my Irish background...LOL...but I have found keeping it to myself until something is a sure thing has worked out better in the long run.

Nope 44 years of age here, have been working since I was 17, my only stint unemployed has been the last 6 months. I'm a very private person actually and wasnt disagreeing with you. I just don't see an internet forum where no one knows me as a blabbing anything. Go back and read my posts here.... you and TV guy seem to have comprehension issues. I did say that I didnt tell my family for that EXACT reason. Not sure why you are questioning anything. I'm strictly happy about having an interview.. this job is not the end all beat all and if I dont get it.. I'm not going to be heartbroken. Especially considering it's my first interview since being laid off. Again..... I posted here on a forum without divulging my name, the company anything.. just that I had an interview. That is the beauty of the internet... is it not?

Never use the word hater... sorry to burst your completely wrong impression of me. Maybe everyone doesnt fit into your narrow image, my life experience has certainly given me a broader and less negative one is all...

Well we will have to disagree on what constitutes "blabbing".

Best of luck to you.

Hi Jasmine728, we don't know each other, but I wanted to thank you for posting this thread. It's sooo nice to hear from people like yourself who are getting interviews. It gives me encouragement, as well as a lot of other people, I am sure.

I really do not understand these folks that say "don't post" or "don't get excited". I interviewed back in Feb for a job that I was hoping to get. It didn't work out, and sure, I was disappointed. That didn't stop me from posting a question in my local city forum, asking if folks knew someone at the company.

Your welcome zitsky, your reply is exactly why I posted.... people need hope once in awhile too. Glad to hear it gave you some encouragement! There are a lot of different approaches to the job search and how people deal with it. What works for some, doesnt for others.. that's fine. If I dont agree with someone else's it's not necessary to post a bunch of negativity... I just skip over it.
