It's been over three weeks since the last posting. MADMan, where are you? We need input! Do you have any more photos where you could ask, where this is? Or, could you name the person who pitched a 3-hit shutout in Kiwanis League at Crysler Stadium on May 15, 1959? Or, can you name the people from Independence who, at one time or another, played in Kiwanis League and were signed by a major league club? Or, can you find a list of people who are on each high school's hall of fame list and what sport they played?

All those sports topics are out of my league! However I will dig around in my archives for a photo quiz to see if that wakes up the old-timers lurking here.

Let's start with what should be an easy one. Where/what was/is this?

Y'all are correct, of course! Now tell me what has changed in that photo, other than the closing of the plant.

The obvious would be that there are no longer cars in the parking lot and no gleaners or parts in the yard. Beyond that, perhaps a building or two are gone, but I cannot be any more precise than that.

Also missing is the RR crossing near the bottom center of this view. It was at Linden & Delaware, now both of those streets dead-end at the tracks. That crossing would have been dangerous for northbound cars, as it would be hard to see northwest bound trains.

This one might be a touch tougher. Where? I am stretching things just a bit...
