If I'm not mistaken, Pizza Palace was featured on Diner's, Drive-in's, and Dives on Food Network. We saw it before moving here, and have yet to try it...but have driven by.

What's this about a beginner's hike? We're thinking about hitting House Mountain.

Yes! Boomsday is great. Wait, this town will grow on you.

And yes, Pizza Palace was on Food TV.

TV : Diners, Drive-ins and Dives : Guy's Hotspots : Food Network (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_dv/article/0,3151,FOOD_29156_5566108,00.html - broken link)

Yeah, what did Boomsday average last year? Like 300,000+ people?

Pizza Palace has AMAZING Pizza, the best I've had in Tennessee by far, and I make a point of trying new pizza places often. The only thing is I wouldn't recommend eating it there. It's in a seedy neighborhood, and last time I was there, a homeless guy hit me and my friends up for a drink on account of his hepatitis (I don't know how those two things are related either ). It's a drive-in by the way.

Love it here, just don't seem to have time to do any of the "fun" stuff.

Check out some historic sites. Nonprofits are having a tough time right now and they could definitely use your help!

1. Blount Mansion: Home of William Blount, first governor of "southwest territory" that eventually became TN and KY.
2. James White Fort: Original settlement of Knoxville
3. Mabry-Hazen House: Plantation owned by Joseph Mabry, part of his land eventually became downtown Knoxville. Was killed in a gun fight that Mark Twain later recounted in one of his books.
4. Ramsey House Plantation: Large plantation east of Knoxville
5. East Tn Historical Society: Has a new exhibit that is supposed to be very nice.
