You residents really must accept this.

The other 98% of Americans just view that as an extension of The Strip.

(PS...when's the last time you heard anyone saying that they were heading to Las Vegas to visit The Fremont Street Experience?)

You can present all the points you want...but after you're done...Las Vegas will always be just The Strip to almost a complete majority of the world's population.

Why do you think most people are shocked to find that Las Vegas leads the nation in house foreclosures????

It's because they never stopped to consider that Las Vegas even has houses!

I sell straps made of straw on the strip, I wear a sequined sombrero, selling straps on the strip has made me stronger, I used to live at the Sahara, but since its been selected to stop operating, I now share a suite in a short stay, I study science and social services and I stay sequestered in my room and hope one day to be a secretary, or secret seller of select services, or be in senior management for Solodyn, or Sony, or sell sea shells by the seashore.

Then they truly are as dumb as the day is long. I am aware that Orlando's claim to fame is Disney World and Anaheims claim to fame is Disneyland, but I am not dense enough to believe that all of the people work there, but don't own houses because they live in Toon Town or Fantasyland and eat churros and Mickey shaped ice cream sandwhiches all day and wear costumes and talk in high pitched voices. Common sense would tell ya that it takes a city full of support staff and services to keep it running. The problem isn't that Las Vegans are in denial of the Strips lore and role in our community. The problem is that world is filled with idiots. Like I mentioned in another thread, the Jersey Shore existed long before Snooki and DJ Pauly D showed up and "Guidified" the place.
