There are basements. Maybe one in 25 homes and generally the customs.

Basements are not needed as there is no frost and or heaving so you can build right on the dirt. There are also problems with digging. Some places we have a semi-mineral called Caliche which sometimes must be blasted to dig out.

Default Just moved here

Just moved here 6 months ago from Cranston, RI. I'm loving Vegas so far!! Las Vegas has a lot of opportunity still even though we seem to be in this economic slump. Hopefully things get better soon for everyone. This election should be a big one, I hope everyone plans on getting out there and voting! Well I just wanted to say hi hope everyone is doing well!

You must know where most of the results are going to come from.... California. California, although a beautiful state is failing with ridiculously high unemployment rates. Many have been leaving there for the last 15+ years looking for the dream and employment in the closest state.

Or it could be that many are just not changing them. There are more out of state license plates in my complex than there are NV plates. And I have seen these cars since I moved here over 2 mos ago. I think mine is the only one under my carport and the one across from me. Mostly CA.

I just noticed the other day that some people that live in a building next to mine have lived here for over a year and still have their Utah plates. I think that's pushing it.
